THE BEAUTIFUL FIELDS OF DANDELIONS

that we saw on our walk today. Early in the morning we drove to Schwalefeld and a sunny lovely morning it was. The apartment of my sister and her partner lies high upon a slope of the hill overlooking the village. After drinking coffee at their terrace we set out for a wonderful walk, that started at Ussede. It is there that the Diemel takes its rise, the same Diemel that streams into the Weser in Karlshafen, after 105 km.
We walked a couple of hours, one way high in the hills and back along the other side of the stream.
When we came back in Schwalefeld there was some thunder in the air, but at first far away. It became very dark and it started to rain and then it turned to hail and the thunderstorm came over the village. We ate the most delicious asparagus dish and at seven Piet Hein and I decided to start our way back. It was not the most pleasant ride, but we managed to arrive at nine o'clock at home.
The radical change of the weather was the big surprise of the day, but it did not make the day less wonderful and happy.
Too tired, I think, to comment tonight, starting morning fresh is much better.

My haiku:

The weather goddess
Gave us the splendid sunshine
And took it away

And the proverb:

Hail brings frost in the tail.
