Exhibitionist

Child sickness, not one of ours, meant that plans for Daddy Day needed some adjustment today. However I was aware that a photography exhibition was getting under way today so we headed down to Southsea library to take a look.

Andrew Whyte is not like me, he is a proper photographer, who specialises in taking beautiful long exposure images. He recently set up a night photography walk that was very popular and inspired me to get out and about occasionally of an evening recently for the odd late night blip.

I was aware that he would still be setting up the room but he was nice enough to let us pop in anyway, for a look and a chat, even though he was very busy. He showed us how he was going to set the room up and block the light coming in through the old windows so that he could run some workshops with some local school groups. He also showed Girl how to mount photos which was fun and handy so that in the future she can help me.

The little ones loved the pictures and are looking forward to going back over the next couple of weeks to see the exhibition in all its glory. This evening we asked Girl which of the pictures she liked the most. She told us that she liked the bench with eyes and big arms. You will have to go and see it yourself to get what she means. As for Boy well he didn't give a favorite as he has been too busy sucking a sugar free lolly all day and still had some to get through after dinner.

So if you are in the area then I recommend you visit, it may even inspire some more night time blips.
