Bye Bye......Wonham Waters

I hadn't realised just how quickly 7 days fly's by.........

This is the first holiday Bev and i have taken in England in around 16 years, during that time we've preferred to fly to sunnier climes.
But despite the weather we've had during our stay at Wonham Waters we've had an excellent holiday, frankly it's left me wondering what we've missed over the last 16 years. Severe catch 22 situation........!!

As with our holidays abroad we had to look very hard to find exactly what we wanted. There's lots of accomodation to be found on farms, or in an annexe close to someones country property, but very few isolated like Wonham Waters.

It's been a total chill out holiday, surrounded by wild life, the only noise you have is of the birds and the breeze blowing through the trees. The loudest sound we've had at the cabin this week is the screeching of the Peregrine Falcons which are nesting high up in the quarry behind the cabin.

We have so much to look forward to when we get home, but we're both desperately sad to be going home and leaving this oasis of peace and calm.

This blip show's the cabin against the background of the Quarry, unfortunately i couldn't got a shot of the cabin, quarry and the pond which is to the left of the cabin.

The cabin and quarry are set in 100 acres of woodland which you're free to explore at your lesiure, within the woodland there are Red Deer, for your peace of mind the owner doesn't allow any shooting anywhere within that 100 acres of woodland, so for adults there's miles of peaceful walks, while for children it's a huge adventure playground.

The cabin has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a very very comfortable double bed, while the 2nd bedroom has a single bed and a pair of bunk beds for the kids.......
A dining table that seats 6 people, gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher, a pair of lovely leather sofas........
Sky TV, dvd and cd player.............
It's everything you would want from a holiday location.

Simply fantastic...........
