Columbine, in Black and White

I've been taking lots of pictures of the spring flowers in my yard.

It suddenly dawned on me that what I love most about columbine are their amazing shapes and angles.

So Saturday afternoon, I shot a few in black and white.

No color. Just shape.

I am not sure I ever thought of taking flower pictures in black and white before, but I kind of like it. What do you think?

P.S. The actual color, for anyone who's curious, is a very pale lemon chiffon shade of yellow.
