Seascape

We had a great day at St Abbs on the Berwickshire coast, having visited the nearby Edrom Alpine Nursery en route. We visited St Abbs almost exactly a year earlier, on April 27th. The weather, as you can see was perfect, though it was perishing cold out of the sun. I had spent a good hour on the cliffs at St Abbs Head and down at the shore, fiddling (a technical term) with my Nikon and monopod, and endlessly reviewing histograms to try to get some detail in the sea spray. I had arranged to walk back to the harbour to meet madame, so packed it all away and set off.

But it was this snap, taken without any fiddling whatsoever on my compact, that best caught the day. Maybe there is something in this landscape photography after all....
