The Marathon of the North- Sunderland 10K

The Marathon of the North is a new marathon being held in the NE of England. The race started and finished at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland and has been run as part of the festival weekend which incorporates the Junior Run, Sunderland City 10K race and many other supporting activities.

The course incorporated the acclaimed 10K route and hopefully provided a great opportunity for good race times as well as stunning coastal views.
This is only 2-3 kilometres in (a couple of miles) and when I reviewed my photos many of the expressions looked very pained. I hope they made the 26 miles.
I was hoping for a sharper shot but, as usual I had the settings a bit off.
