Long shift on the birth unit today with Wistful moments

Wistful moments was present at a lovely waterbirth this afternoon.
Whilst I was weighing and checking the baby over for her, the father of the baby showed me his mask and snorkel he had bought for the occasion-I never really did discover if it was for a joke or if he actually did indeed intend to use it in the pool.
Fortunately the birth was so quick he would never have had the chance to use it anyway-phew!!!
Another long shift on the birth unit tomorrow followed by a few days away in Cumbria.
Not sure if I'll have internet connection so will catch up on my return.
