Gloop

After our late night Noah didn't quite know what to do with himself. Freya had gone out with her friend and he was at a bit of a loose end so I suggested a bowl of gloop. Both he, and Carlos, were mesmerised. Noah has had lots of experience of the fun to be had mixing cornflour and water but it was all new to Carlos who found it quite mind-boggling.

We had a lovely family evening together with roast dinner followed by Noah's first fire of the summer out on the steps. We listened to the birds and watched the sun go down, the kids were running around doing handstands and cartwheels and Noah declared it the best Sunday ever.

After his declaration it all went a bit pear-shaped, Freya hurt her arm (but fortunately not seriously), and we discovered Noah had not had dis hearing aid in since last night so we had an hour of drama while we dealt with ice-packs, possible trips to casualty, searching everywhere for the missing hearing aid. Thankfully Freya's arm did not swell, the pain subsided and she can practically do the macarena so hopefully no real damage done. Noah found his hearing aid under his bed, which I was relieved about as he loses one every 6-9 months and it takes 4 weeks to get a new one.

I settled on this photo although I had lots of yachts racing, birds feeding, children upside down, the fire and the sunset.
