Maple dapple

There were some great views of rain falling in purple sheets over Arran tonight, followed by a golden sunset. My compact is certainly game, but just doesn't deliver on that kind of distance.

Just as well I spent a few minutes getting up close and personal with this red maple earlier in the afternoon.
