Turkey Vulture

Today was our last full day in California....

We spent it floating on a boat in the middle of Lake Casitas, near Ojai.... Paul was determined to catch his first solo largemouth bass, whereas I just wanted to laze in the sun and listen to music.

It was such an amazing day with lots of interesting birds to see, including a little flock of turkey vultures soaring around the boat house, near a campsite which appeared to exclusively accommodate people dressed up as pirates. Seriously.

Paul caught two bass and was really pleased with himself.
