I said goodbye to Dot and set off to meet Fiona in St Andrews for a brisk walk along the cycle path towards Guardbridge. It was cold and windy, but our pace and chat acted as a distraction.

Later, I parked at the harbour and walked up to the castle in search of a blip. Among the many species of birds, there were hundreds of eider ducks nesting along the cliffs and congregating on the rocks below.
