The second half of life..

By twigs

A friend died late last night after over 2 years battling leukaemia. He never made it to his 50th birthday. Life seems so cruel at times. Al is at peace now - no more pain, no more hospitals, no more sickness - just peace. But for his wife and 2 sons the pain will go on.

I don't think anyone can ever really prepare themselves to face the death of a loved one, even when the ugly and inevitable prognosis has been written on the wall for a long time. The end is so final.

Rest in peace Al.
