Architecture 1 - Tudor

The theme for this month's camera club challenge is Architecture. So far I have failed miserably in identifying opportunities for the typical grand building, modernist or cityscape shot. However, thinking laterally I reasoned that distinctive architectural building styles from history met the theme. Taking that one step further, why not represent this using a model. Accordingly my dolls house collection once again provided inspiration.

This model is 1-48th scale (1/4ins to 1 ft), and is based on the "House that moved" - a rare example of a 15th century Merchant's House in Exeter, Devon which in 1961 was physically moved 100 yards out of the way of a new road. I built the model from scratch using plans adapted from a 1-12th scale model and one day will find the time to finish it!

Only 2 more photos to find for the challenge, and a week to find them, so (hopefully) watch this space.
