Crossing

Quick blip tonight. Today started with this opportunity - had a few minutes waiting for the shot to arrive but not sure that it did.
This is stairwell for the carpark at the Ropewalk in Nuneaton. Few people about but I didn't want a straight building shot. The sky was just grey with no detail so I couldn't include any. Just a handful of shots.

Had to get off to work then.

Rest of the day completing and refreshing a few reports and getting the board report issued. A typical boring day in the office.

Then the fun started.

Jamie called me just as I was leaving the office to tell meTilly (the dog) had hurt herself badly and he was concerned she was in some pain and distress. She wouldn't put her paw down at all or even stand. She had been ok an hour earlier and had been at home alone. No reason we could see why she was refusing to walk on her front paw. The next decision while driving is do I get an appointment at the vets before thay close or risk having to do an expensive out of hours call later. Decided to get an appointment straight away. Thankfully when I got home the tail was wagging albeit without the usual manic thrashing and jumping. Great relief when we get to the vet and she's beginning to use her leg gingerly although relief somewhat tempered by the £60 bill a short while later.

Only yesterday I had seen the latest pet insurance document and thought how much we'd paid over the years and never had cause to claim - was it worth it?Maybe Tilly was trying to point out that someday.....
Of course, tonight's bill comes in under the policy excess.
