Bottled Fire (144/366)

Up early, out shooting with Rich Dyson and Michelle Hutcheson down at Seacliffs beach near North Berwick.

Somehow conversation and then navigation saw us at the old RNAS hospital near East Fortune. A former tuberculosis sanitorium, many of the buildings remain intact, albeit heading to ruin and laden with asbestos. The place is full of things left behind, and this room - perhaps the former maternity ward - has an eerie number of carrycots.

Standing proud in the middle of the room were these gas bottles. But no sign of anything to connect to them or of their usage. The near two are of a design still in widespread circulation, but the white one is one I haven't seen before.

These bottles of fire will be my entry into the week's WBC challenge on the bottle theme.

More shots from here are on my Flickr site.
