Millport or bust

On Saturday we took our bikes on the train up to Largs, then the ferry over to Cumbrae.

Armed with a bag of eats, we made slow but steady progress, cycling north then round the west of the island.

Frankly, I lost count how many times we stopped. Highlights included: "I need a drink." (ten minutes off the ferry); "Can we have lunch now?" at twenty minutes to midday, and fifteen minutes in to our ride; "Can we have an ice lolly at Fintry bay?" a mere twenty minutes after lunch at midday. Plus one fall, dislodging her bike chain.

We gained Millport at 2 o'clock.... Cycling back seemed easier and quicker.

It was a great day - sunny, coolish wind, and not too busy on the road. Shortie now wants to move to Millport.
