RIP Allan

Today has turned out to be shitty. Allan, my friend of 50 years, and Best Man forty one years ago has passed away, suddenly, and far too soon. Al, you deserved better, and we weren't finished yet!!

Our friendship had one or two bumps, but survived and endured. Our “Gang” trip to Seville and Cordoba in April this year was a highlight amongst many over the last couple of years and, together with 40th wedding celebrations, will provide lasting memories, capping the recollections of all the things we got up to when single.

Allan, you were the most generous of friends. Generous of spirit & “spirits”, and the occasional beer or few. You are sorely missed already!

Glad you came on Friday last. See you upstairs in due course.
