Ramraiding bees!

I was intrigued by the bees today who seemed to be inspecting the back of the grannies bonnets (aquilegia) and it wasn't until I uploaded the photos onto the PC I realised they were piercing the base of each trumpet and getting straight to the nectar! Never seen them do that before!

If you click on the magnifying glass you can see his beak/probe thingy inside the flower!
