Sheep shearing on Pebble

Next stop was Pebble Island, via Stanley and then heading out west and keeping low in the strong winds. Apparently Pebble Island is the fourth windiest spot in the Falklands. After lunch we walked out along Elephant Beach and returned via Big Pond. Then we popped our heads into the shearing shed to watch the island's flock being sheared. At the end of the day, we even had the chance to shear a sheep ourselves. Mine proved to be a ram, and was a bit more of a struggle !
