Pebble Island vista from First Mountain

For a change, I've decided to use a landscape shot from today. We went on a drive around the western part of the island with Cat, who was in charge of the 4x4. She was a very knowledgeable guide who related to us the part the island played in the Falklands conflict in 1982 as well as about the varied wildlife found here. We visited Rockhopper and Gentoo Penguin colonies and from a distance observed the breeding Southern Giant Petrels. Unlike in South Georgia, where they totally ignore you, here they are quite nervous.
