Let there be Light

My freind and myself both enjoyed the Knox Church Christmas eve service. It great to see inside the newly built church. It was their first Christmas eve serves since 2009, a wonderful happing for them. The church was full but we were a bit worried as there were not many people when we arrived.. we did arrive early to make sure we get a seat.
The acoustics were amazing and organ sounded wonderful.

On the walk back to my place after the service we stood and looked up into the sky because it was so clear and it was warm as well. We could see so many stars shinning down on us.. it felt really special. After a cup of tea and some Christmas cake in the light of the Christmas tree we chatted and the next thing we knew was it was 2:30am on Christmas day.

Jamie my son in India phoned this morning and he went to Midnight Mass in Kochi. He has never been to one before and said it was interesting and as soon as the service ended they let of fireworks mostly the ones with big bangs. On the river trip to Kochi he said it was so interesting watching people going about their daily lives in such amazing colours. Said it is one big kaleidoscope of never ending colour.

Kochi has a cosmopolitan culture, highly influenced by historical trading partners, Portuguese, Dutch, Arab, Chinese, and Japanese. Kochi is the seat of the Latin church of Kerala and has many Catholic churches and followers.

I do hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas day.. we started the day with a little drizzle and it wasn't very warm. In the afternoon the sun came out and now it has warmed up. Last night we had a good shake up with a few earthquakes. I only felt one of them and that was enough. I see we had some more today but not as big thank  goodness!
