Boxing Day

Dear Diary,

The 12 days of Christmas continues today with  Boxing Day.   I think Woodie looks particularly festive with his little red "hat".  With the mild temperatures, a lot of the snow is gone but the birds still need their daily fare and I am glad to oblige.

The first four stanzas of the old carol, The Twelve Days of Christmas, speak about birds...partridge, turtle dove, French hen and calling birds.  So, I thought Woodies photograph was appropriate.
