Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve and my big six year old granddaughter and I mixed the royal icing for the Christmas cake - and for the Gingerbread House!
The architecture of the gingerbread house was adapted a little to make sure the roof stayed on, but the four children had great fun decorating it with the sweets!! It was a happy time, with plenty of sampling on the way!
A little later we went out into the dark with torches, along the lane to the church for the Crib Service. The ten of us took up two pews in a packed church!
Stockings ready, a mince pie and milk put out for Santa and a carrot for Rudoloph on the hearth!
