Take 1!

This was the first attempt at having us all balance on the beam at Natchaugh State Park today, where we spent a very pleasant few hours walking the trails in the sunshine and blowing out the couch potatedness of the previous couple of days.  It was the first attempt because I couldn't run back and balance fast enough before the timer ran out so Rob had to take over button duties!  However it was the sharpest of the blips so I'm going with this one.  Becks and Rob are writing a blog of Connecticut State Parks in alphabetical order so Becky suggested we visit the next one...good choice!  More photos of our trip to date are here!  The album is called 'Felice Navidad' because it's a Christmas song we have discovered whilst over here and have been singing ironically since (the dad dancing by the kids is down to the same song too!)
After our lovely walk we drove to the Connecticut University Dairy Bar for yummy ice creams (yes ice cream!) and, having had our dessert first, then stopped in Willimantic to eat at the Willimantic Brewing Company.  The girls shared a giant plate of nachos and chilli which the boys eventually had to help them out with.  We are now relaxing in front of the log fire whilst Jen and Pete cook up turkey pie - it's smelling delicious.  Tomorrow we go in search of snow which apparently is falling back home in Yorkshire!
