Quod oculus meus videt

Sunrise and Snow, Cannock Chase

An interesting morning that started with clear skies, then as the sun was about to rise cloud filled in from the northeast, allowing this Alpine glow to colour the sky.  After that we had a short period of warm light and then mist and fog developed as the temperature rose.

All in all it allowed for a great 2-3 hours walking around the Sherbrooke Valley area of the Chase, happily capturing images and talking to the dog walkers and cyclists.  A great way to spend the morning.

I've added a few more images from the morning on Flickr.
