What a day!

We left home just before 8.30am, drove nearly 600 miles, and got home at 8.30pm, but at least I got to see some snow while travelling up North.  There wasn't much to be honest, but it was lovely to see, although getting a photograph while travelling at 70 miles per hour isn't very easy!  I managed to get this shot while we were stuck in one of the many traffic jams.

The boys travelled very well considering we didn't give them any tablets and were only sick a little bit, and mum's home safely.  She's a little better, but she wouldn't have managed the journey home by train.  I took her to Waitrose to get her stocked up with food so she can rest and get better and then we had a bit of lunch before setting off home.

The traffic was very heavy, but the weather was fine and we called to pick up a curry when we got back which was delicious!
