A very thoughtful day today, despite the all the activity.  

A very pleasant trip to the Cinema and lunch with the family followed by a walk in the glorious winter light today.   Counterpoint to this were rather sober thoughts.  Thoughts of measuring and preparing, thoughts of change and momentum, thoughts of ends, beginnings and loss.

Interesting bridge in Ashford over the motorway...  I nearly went with "bird on a wire" ... others

(personal note to a certain bridge fan ... Look!.. We have some down south too ;-) )
