A New Year's Bloom

I'm sitting comfortably on my sofa with the Christmas Tree lit and the fireplace going.  The TV is on as we get closer to the countdown in New York City's Times Square.  This plant is sitting on the piano and has just recently sprung a new blossom and so I call it the New Years Bloom.  New life, a new beginning.  I liked this poinsettia because of the peachy color with yellow background.  So different that the standard red. 
The ball just dropped in Times Square and Fireworks are going off in my town.  Poor Dillon just jumped up from a sound sleep and took off under the ottoman.  He never heard fireworks before.  haha  I hope everyone had an enjoyable evening and I wish you a very Happy New Year!
