Black Forest Cherry Cake

This very special culinary creation blip of Paladian's Black Forest Cherry Cake: simplified version. This blip was requested by Ann Hall.

 
It's the Mary Berry chocolate cake sandwiched with cream, and freshly cooked morello (sour) cherries.
 
These cherries are available fresh right now at the “cellar” door.  What a treat.
 
The taste is so different to the bottled version, which we have always used previously.  It’s always been easy to get the bottled version because of the large Polish/Czech/Russian/ community we have living in Adelaide, but the fresh ones have only been available for 2 or 3 years.
 
It’s a brighter taste, sharper (possibly  because Paladian doesn’t use much sugar); and altogether delicious and healthy.
 
She was so buggered tired out she didn’t decorate the cake in the traditional manner, but felt, quite rightly that it was all going to taste the same anyway. It was amazing!

 
One of the most delicious cakes we have had in quite a while.
