Budapest Parliament

A bitterly cold morning, and perfect for a brisk walk down to the House of Parliament.  we had wanted to do a tour today but it was closed for the New Year Holiday.  The upside was that there were no tourists around, so we were able to get great images without the distraction of people.

The front view of the Parliament is arguably the most iconic of all Budapest's buildings.  Today's image shows the lesser known rear view.
I blipped the front view several days ago.

The extra image highlights the bronze of Istvan Tisza who was the Prime Minister of Hungary during World War 1.  He was assassinated in 1918, because he was pro Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
