Carquebut, Normandy: church of Saint-Ouen

A typical small Norman church, probably 12th century with later additions. The octagonal spire however is atypical, perhaps it was built to echo the church spire in nearby Carentan.

I couldn't get entry to the church or source any information about it!

The commune (village/hamlet) of Carquebut has about 300 inhabitants, and a cluster of beautiful old Norman farmhouses.
