New Year's Eve

Gloomy light and a mild snowstorm to greet the new year.  Today's blip taken against a backdrop of the Hotel Ukraina, which was mentioned in 22 December's blip.   It's one of the 'Seven Sisters' to MID featured in 17 December's blip.  There was another peek of one of the Sisters on 7 September's blip and in one of my year's favorite blips on 18 January.

Incidentally, the Hotel Ukraine is featured in the film of John le Carre's The Russia House which starred Sean Connery.

I was wondering if we could arrange a handover.

- Do you ever escape for lunch?
Yes. Of course.
