A Day Worth Recording

There are two reasons for taking this photo of the self-catering unit today.

1. It is the first day for a while with all the floorboards down and tools removed; albeit that I quite expect that situation to be a temporary one.

2. I need a photo. Having celebrated completing three gapless years yesterday, missing one now would just be too naff.

Spent most of the morning working on the TPO appeal.  This mostly involves writing what I think; deleting it, and writing it again using less emotive language.

Can't remember how much TPO trauma I've shared here.  The garden is full of wonderful, gorgeous, historic trees which deserve special protection but don't have it, and one 1960's out-of-control rockery conifer 2.5m from the house (and now 10 above it), which has a Tree Preservation Order on it.

No-one can fathom how that makes sense.
