My niece Alice

Met up with sister Sarah and her children today.  Sarah had left her coat and scarf at our house on Christmas Day & I returned to her some flying light lanterns that we didn't do either (not a great plan at Christmas or ever, when you live next door to a thatched cottage).

It was lovely to catch up for a sunny walk at Houghton Mill - without the mayhem of lots of people on Christmas Day.  Sam, and his cousins get on really well together and it was a pleasure  to share lunch at The Old Ferry Boat, Hollywell with them.  It doesn't seem 5 minutes ago that the experience would have been more about 'behaviour management' than great food and conversation.  How time flies - ho hum.
