Nordic meets Greek?

Returning from the top of Bennachie via the Rowantree car park, and heading for Inverurie past the Maiden Stone, one can see in the woodland on the left a Garden Ornament on Steroids. The history of this Woodland Nymph of Greek myth crossed with a Wagnerian 'Maiden' is not clear to me, but, visible as it is from the road, she grabs my attention every time I pass...
