Family day

Today had zip wire fun, den building with neighbours, warm lentil soup and baked potatoes with beans and cheese.

Then this afternoon D brushed off the cobwebs from his own bike and we took the boys down the river path. Magnus got a balance bike for Christmas and he is slowly ( veeeerrry slowly) getting faster on it. After going not very far we admitted partial defeat and I took the wee one home while his brother and Dad went for a longer bike ride. The walk home with Magnus clutching a wet, dirty stick, was long in time although not in length but was surprisingly lovely and the wee guy walked the whole way himself*.

*Hopefully this small, yet significant point will mean that he goes to bed and stays there tonight ... the up down up down is testing our sanity :)
