It doesn't get much closer than this

A beautiful day in Inverness, cold, but beautiful none the less.
Loads of birdies in my garden and I have a hazy moonlit sky this evening.
So many pics I could have blipped today, but I thought this one was apt, so pleased to capture this much sunspot detail. Especially Sunspot group 2253 (just to the left of centre)
Today our planet reached perihelion, the closest point in it's orbit around the sun.
