New Zealand Hawk

On our way to do the recycling (totally rock'n'roll, I know), Bramble and I went to Taylor Dam for a walk. It took quite some effort to stop Bramble from pulling me into the Dam so that she could chase some birds, hence why this shot isn't as clear as I would have liked it to be. I have considered tying her lead to the tripod but I can forsee a Marley & me moment where my tripod and camera would disappear into the water.

Anyway, I quite liked the natural composition of this one, although I had to rescue the exposure as I'm still getting used to the settings on my new camera. Practice makes perfect I suppose!
