It's Grim Up North

Limestone

Afternoon dog stroll amongst the limestone outcrops of Farleton Knott;
an amazing, low fell on the southern fringe of Cumbria, next to J36 of the M6. The fell is partially owned by the National Trust because of the importance of the limestone pavements, flora and fauna.

The farmers who graze sheep on the fell have a shed-ette where you can buy eggs and cake and leave your money in an honesty box. Too cold for either to be on sale, today.

Christmas decorations banished to the man cupboard for fifty weeks. Back to normal, whatever that is.

Colour rendition of this is poor. Washed out compared to the version I am looking at in Lightroom, on the same screen....
