Ouzels Want To Throttle My Throstle

It is unusual for me to see a song thrush in my garden and now I know why.

I saw this beauty as I was washing up and shot it through the window using the tap as a tripod. It was hopping around happily but then Mrs Blackbird arrived and flew at it, chasing it away.

I was delighted when it returned, hoping that it might make its home with us. Suddenly Mr Blackbird appeared. He is in fine fettle with a very  bright yellow beak and eye ring and lustrous plumage. He's stuffed full of carotenoids. He flew very aggressively at the thrush and it looked like he even stole the worm that the thrush had caught.

I haven't seen the throstle since. :(
