I'm Walking on Air, False and Gay

That is what I found out for the meaning of the Yellow Lily.

I was going to go over to Jamie's place but came down with such a bad headache thought I shouldn't drive at the moment. I was really hot this morning and then a wind changed, which cooled things down a bit , thank goodness.

I finally got a email from Jamie and he had another bout of sickness but has come right again. The tour has ended and he flies to Mumbai later tonight. He said there hadn't been any WiFi for a while so couldn't email me.

Victorian Interpretation of the Yellow Lily: Gaiety is one of the symbols of the yellow lily.  It can also mean “I’m walking on air”.  Just like many yellow flowers that have negative meanings, the yellow lily has its fair share of negative connotations too. Yellow lily actually symbolizes falsehood.

Superstitions:  Although yellow seems to be a very cheerful color, it’s associated with many negative things.  Based on wedding superstition, it’s said that getting married with the yellow shade associated with the ceremony means that you’re ashamed of your groom.  On another note, it’s a blossom that also provides for protection.  In witch lore, it’s a flower that can break love spells – no matter how deep it is.

Herbalism and Medicine:  Plants just like the lily is thought to have many medicinal properties.  Although still unproven, there are some that swear by the yellow lily being used as an antiseptic for wounds, an anti inflammatory for swelling and also treatment that helps with pain.
