Classic Yosemite

After yet another scrumptious breakfast we all set out on the start of the circular roadway of the valley. The road is one way and at this time of year the sun will only be lighting one side of the valley at a time so as luck had it we got the sunny side to start on and a zillion images as we stopped at every opportunity and both of them chased light on the Olympus and fruitphones.
We were totally spoilt for choice so settled for this iconic shot with the Merced river in the foreground. There was a lot of very expensive gear on tripods at this spot but The B,s were unanimous that this won the pic of the day for Blip. You get to guess the camera.
The Valley is emptying out after a holiday weekend and at a number of places The Boss thought we were the only people in the park and the low winter light was just fabulous.. YES it was a good day.
Tomorrow we are starting earlier…Thats the bit where you get out of your lovely comfy warm bed to leap into a cold car before breakfast…right. Stay tuned for the thrilling update.
We were in the valley 5 years ago in fall but the winter light and frozen frames on the waterfalls make this time very special.

Thanks to those who provided Blipishous updates. wifi is very sloo.
