Sunrise from our bedroom

Like millions of others, it was back to work for me today. A bit of a shock to the system.
To help me wake up a bit faster, Nikonabike flung the curtains back, and this was the view I was greeted with (he had just delivered my tea, fruit juice and buttered crumpets, so I couldn't moan too much).
The long pink streak running almost vertically is a vapour trail from some plane on it's way to far-flung places maybe. It looks vertical as it must have been heading directly away from us - it wasn't heading into the ground.
The day at work? It seemed to last a week................
