Albino Sparrow??

I'm not a  bird watcher of note, but do enjoy watching the birds that visit our garden.  I feed them in the winter, and they get any left over bread on a daily basis.

We have quite a group of sparrows and from time to time this pale one is amongst the sparrows - I'm figuring this one uses a different hairdresser.
Same size, shape and markings, just a whole lot paler in colour.

Taken through my not so clean windows, so have to be rather pleased with the result.  You will note how dry our lawn is now, South Canterbury is in drought conditions.

We called on friends this morning for what was going to be a quick visit, but became much longer and very enjoyable.

The remainder of the day has been watching the cricket and tennis on the telly.

A new world record was achieved this afternoon in the cricket - the highest 6th wicket partnership of all time - BJ Watling 142 and Kane Williamson 242, both not out as a declaration followed.

At Auckland Venus Williams is making easy work of her game - looks very warm up there. Caroline Wozniacki is up next.
