Grey Heron

Thank you for all the kind comments yesterday - although she is still in hospital - Mum's doing much better and hopefully will be out tomorrow (although I am aware that that is what we were told yesterday!) It's ironic that there is so much about the overburdened A & E departments in the news today, having had several hours experience of the waiting game at first hand!
So glad to find an hour today to walk around the lake absorbed in it's beauty and that of its bird life! I crept up behind this heron but he rapidly caught sight of me and took off (but not before I'd got my blip!). This swan came a close second, as did one or two others in my Lakeside album. 
Feeling revitalised after my period of respite in the fresh air!
