New speed limit!

Our Council have decided that all residential streets, apart from the main routes should now be designated as 20 mile an hour areas. I have no argument with that, but a lot of money seems to be being wasted, for example on our short, narrow, street this sign has gone up this morning just before a tight right angle bend which can't be taken at anything over 15 miles an hour as well as at both ends of our road! They have also been put up at entrances to very short cul-de-sacs, even as short as 3 houses deep where it would take a jet propelled engine to have the distance to reach anything like that speed. I did try to get out with my camera while the men were still working but they moved on just as I got within range. Perhaps they were camera shy.
