Magic Moment

For just 30 minutes, at the end of a grey cloudy day, a light appeared just under the horizon, as the sun was going down. It was a magic moment because of the contrast between the previously grey day and the sudden bright light reflecting of the snow and illuminating the hilltops around us.
Seven more photographs of this magic half-hour are grouped on flickr.
On another note this was the first walk for two weeks where I actually felt fit again, where the muscles weren't tired, and where I didn't have to stop now and again (except to take photographs, of course). I was walking between 5 and 6,5 km/h. Perhaps that cold is finally giving way.
Changing the subject once again I'm wondering if Blip have also changed the map they use as part of this update.  The stream in this image runs into a lake which is frozen and snow covered just now so it isn't obvious in the image. However, it doesn't exist at all on the map and I'm fairly sure it was there before the update.
