Wet feet

This morning it was pouring.  To use the  underground to get to work I need to change at a station that is currently closed, so I had to walk.

Where I walked up slopes I was walking up a river.  Then I found the paving slab that rocked and yes all the water from underneath it went into my trainers.

By the time I got to work my feet, socks and shoes were soaking.

I left my shoes and socks under the desk all day to dry.

At the end of the day when I put them back on to walk back to that station, my socks were STILL wet.

But the weather was dry.
