...and Simmie....

There are many essences of skateboarding and it is a very social activity.  It does work as an individual pursuit but works so much better as a group.  People just feed off each other and groups of skaters will skate much harder and longer in a group rather that individually.

Tonight the history of Fife skating assembled en-mass in Kirkcaldy for the first of hopefully many, Jan Ramp sessions.  Jan has a shed out back which he's cleared out and they've build a couple of quarter pipes with the aim of extending it to a full miniramp eventually.

For a couple of quarters on a slightly oily surface, it produced some banging skating but more importantly a great wee session.  Really great getting together with some of the very familiar faces from Fife skateboarding's past and present.

A fine bunch of fellows.......and Simmie!

A wee highlight of the night was when Simmie was being Simmie and turning the lights out in mid run.  He did it to Morbid a few too many times so in one of these lights out runs, Morbid launched himself out the top of the ramp and assaulted Simmie to the ground for his transgression.
