New Sofas

N and I bought each other a sofa for Christmas and yesterday they were delivered! Sofa-bed in the bay window and sofa in the alcove... we have an odd-shaped room.

Nothing is ever straight-forward though, is it?!

So, the website stated the sofa was 181cm wide. Perfect for our alcove as that measures 181cm wide... it would be tight but it would fit. However, on delivery the sofa would not fit - only just! Why? Well... on measuring the sofa, it is actually 182cm wide! We couldn't squeeze it in.

So today we had the skirting boards taken off (bit of a mess but it's hidden behind the sofa and you can't see it) and it fits perfectly. Phew!
